Collecting personal information and purpose of use

When collecting personal information, this university shall clearly indicate the purpose of use and shall use legal and fair means to collect only the information that is necessary. Note that the purpose of use may not be specified or may be omitted when the purpose of use is only made clear from the circumstances at the time when the information was collected.

This university shall never use personal information beyond the scope specified and noted in the "Purpose of use." However, this policy does not apply to the following cases:

1. When we have acquired the consent of the concerned party or individual
2. When obligated by law
3. When it is difficult to acquire the consent of the concerned party or individual and the information is necessary to protect an individual from life threatening circumstances, to protect an individual from bodily harm or to protect an individual's assets
4. When requested to provide said information from a national organization, or a local public organization, etc., in accordance with the law

Providing personal information to a third party, etc.

This university shall never provide personal information to a third party, etc., except for the following cases.

When handling personal information, this university shall implement strict security measures, based on the university regulations and policies, in order to prevent the loss, alteration or leaking of personal information.

Requests regarding the disclosure of personal information, etc.

Regarding requests to disclose personal information, to disclose the purpose of use, to correct, add or delete information, to stop or delete the use of personal information or to stop providing personal information to a third party, this university shall confirm the request of the individual and support said request in accordance with the law.

Support desk for inquiries concerning personal information

This university offers the following support desk for requests, complaints, consultation and other personal information related inquiries. The support desk shall explain the designated procedure depending on the nature of the inquiry.
